Oct. 29, 2014 was a truly awesome 25th show to end Season 4 of Quincy’s successfully running ‘Quality comedy Series’ which kicked off this on a slippery note when a brief snow storm threatened to postpone the much anticipated event on Jan. 22, 2014. Well, after 7 total shows (3 live TV tapings for a NEW spin off show coming to Cox Ch. 11 in 2015) & 3 (weather) seasons; He ended w/ a BANG last nite! The entire show was truly a culmination of “FIRST TIME EVER’S” including:
1) The premier of the long awaited NEW hilarious Sam Smith song parody (scroll to see video below) to open the show. Those in attendance weren’t prepared to have their sides hurting from all the laughter.
2) ALL 3 of the “NEW JACK” comics Lamont A. Ferguson, Kim Howell, & Joseph De Paul performed flawlessly for their first time on the show along side special guest Dr. Laura Hayden who stopped through all the way from Boston to bring the funny!
3) Quincy’s long time assistant (Angelina DeBerry) was on stage to introduce him when he changed clothes and returned as the show’s headliner!
4) Because Quincy is always open to new and fresh Ideas, some of his fans asked “when can I see you do a full performance instead of always hosting?” So he excepted the challenge to accomplish something NEVER done in his comedy career… He not only HOSTED the show, he also HEADLINED in the same nite; which included a standing ovation as he ended w/ the very popular “Sleep at the Stoplight” 80 music bit. What a way to end an awesome nite of “FIRST TIME EVER’S” in this series!
Quincy also took time out to recognized and thanked all his staff & volunteers, performers, the Virginia Beach Funny Bone staff & management. As well as the rest of the show’s sponsors who not only provided financial support in 2014, but donated gifts as door prizes the entire season to the awesome fans and supporters. #ComingBackStrongerIn2015
